CEO & EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Founder and CEO of Milestones, Mahmoud Yassin has established himself as a pioneer within the Middle East hospitality industry.
With a background in customer service management and evolving into a business developer, Yassin applied his knowledge to an MBA from the University of Calgary. Having lived and worked in eight countries he acquired extensive experience in various cultures and multi-cultural expectations. Yassin developed his unique management style after a decade of senior management positions in the fields of real estate, hospitality, and, of course, the food and beverage industry. One of his biggest accomplishment is the conceptualization and implementation of a 5-million-dollar food and beverage project in Palestine.
Yassin creates an environment conducive to success through his well-rounded interpersonal communication capabilities, leadership qualities, problem solving, and crisis management skills, and valuable experience.
Operations Manager of Milestones Restaurants
Starting in the food and beverage industry over 24 years ago, Mohamed Hamuda started at the bottom of the totem pole as a bus boy and through his tenacity was able to move up to the highest rung. His experience is invaluable because he understands the entire process of a restaurants working. Hamuda managed a restaurant in Kuwait for 6 years. Joining the Milestones team in 2017, he became passionate about Lucca Steakhouse’s success, and proved so by quickly ascending to restaurant manager within a year. He is now the Operation Manager at Lucca Steakhouse, Good Stuff Eatery, and Indish. Hamuda believes his successful career is due to loyalty, diligence, and patience and hope to teach these qualities to the staff he trains.
Hamuda views Milestones as a front runner in the food and beverage industry and aims to grow even more in the company.
Public Relations & Service Experience Manager
Growing up with a fascination with the Arab world, Romina Babek pursued linguistics at university in Bulgaria focusing on English and Arabic. After working in the hospitality field for years, Babek realized her love for working with people from various cultures, to learn and understand their wants and needs. Moving to Cairo four years ago, she worked with NGO’s and further her education in marketing, content creation, and social media. Babek joined the Milestones team and has integrated strong marketing and public relations strategies.

Effective marketing plays an integral role in various aspects of our operations and its implementation is a crucial part of our success. The numerous avenues of our marketing strategy include; advertising, public relations, e-marketing, social media, newsletters, media releases, cooperative marketing programs, media relations and events, and our own Frequent Diner program. Industry research is of paramount importance and the core of our marketing and development activities to align with the latest global trends.
Training is an ongoing process at our company due to the fact that we have the mindsight set of evolving with the market in order to maintain quality assurance and relevance. The level of service and knowledge provided to our guests is of utmost importance. Regular training sessions are provided to upgrade the skills of team members to improve performance. Staff training includes ingredients, menus, restaurant features, service skills, customer service, as well as, telephone technique and reservations.
Located in the hard of Sheikh Zayed, Lucca’s Steakhouse features a classic American style grill menu with a modern twist. Providing guests with a culinary experience, Executive Chef Tarek El Masri executes the well-rounded menu which focuses on exclusively sourced pure, imported American beef, with Executive Butcher, Ayman Tillawe creating cuts that complement the fresh ingredients. Supplementing the main courses is a diverse array of starters, salads, and imaginative side dishes and desserts. The superb range of wines and signature cocktails appeals to topmost clientele looking to indulge in a pleasurable dining experience.
Good Stuff Eatery ® is an American franchise that is most recognizable in the United States. Milestones acquired the franchise with the intention of filling the need for a proper burger place in Sheikh Zayed. With a wide range of sandwiches available, all burgers are made with imported American beef and buns that are made in house. A signature of the restaurant are the milkshakes which are made with homemade ice cream. The flagship restaurant is located in the exclusive Sheikh Zayed plaza Galleria 40. The brand name and awareness has spread over the Egyptian capital with prospects to open a second branch soon.
The latest addition to the Milestones family is an Indo-Asian fusion concept now open in Sheikh Zayed’s bustling Arkan mall. Once again, filling the gap of a food category not available in the area, Indish provides the perfect range of Indo-Asian dishes to satisfy customers. Indish’s highly experienced chefs created a menu that will make people fall in love further with this cuisine! Live stations with Tandoori and Teppanyaki provide entertainment to our guests and create a unique dining experience.
